How to Reduce Sun Glare as You Drive

There's nothing worse than driving against the sun. Not only do you have to deal with the sun in your eyes, but you often have to manage glare off your windshield and dash. Luckily, there are ways to reduce it. We here at Mercedes-Benz of New London want you to stay safe, so here are some tips you need to know.

The first thing drivers should do is keep their windshield clean. Dirt and grime will make glare much worse. In normal driving conditions, a dirty windshield isn't a huge issue. Oftentimes, you can't even see smudges. However, the sun's rays will bounce off the dirt and make the windshield look cloudly. It's a good idea to clean both sides of the windshield frequently.

Another thing you should do is keep the dash clear. It's not uncommon for drivers to store papers on the dash. Unfortunately, those white pieces of paper can become blinding when you're driving towards the sun.
